What Is FadeShield?
FadeShield was introduced in 2015 by Sunrox Brand.
FadeShield is a synthetic performance fabric created to handle indoor and outdoor upholstery for both residential and commercial areas of your life. These fabrics are woven from a proprietary polyolefin fiber that has been specially developed to provide the utmost durability, so you’ll never have to be concerned about everyday wear and tear. Polyolefin is a synthetic fiber that is inherently resistant to abrasion, pilling, staining, mоld/mildеw, odor and fading. These superior qualities ensure that all FadeShield fabrics woven from this blend exhibit the very same impressive attributes.
Polyolefin fabric has a distinguished scientific history. It was first manufactured in Italy in 1957. A talented chemist named Giulio Natta was the first to formulate olefin fibers suitable for use in many textile applications. Natta and his partner Karl Ziegler were awarded the Nobel Prize in 1963 for their development of a method of transforming polyolefins into fiber using titanium as a catalyst.

Fade Resistant | UV ResistantFadeShield polyolefin takes the high level performance, as they are infused with antimiсrоbial silver ion technology and can withstand 5 years lightfast of UV fade resistance - at least five times more UV protection than regular polyolefin. It’s solution-dyed to make sure that each color is deeply ingrained in every fiber for continued vibrancy, even after heavy use. |
